Grand Pacific Tours Celebrates 15 Years of Service

On 1st April 2011, Grand Pacific Tours, the New Zealand Luxury Coach Holiday Specialist will proudly celebrate their 15th Anniversary of touring in New Zealand.

Established in Melbourne by Peter Harding, the first tour departed in October 1996 with only four travellers onboard! Since those early beginnings Grand Pacific Tours has evolved into a major business positioning themselves as the market leaders, providing the largest and most enviable range of coach touring product available to New Zealand.

Aimed at the rapidly growing senior market, the company first began offering a selection of 4 tours to New Zealand within a simple 12 page brochure format. To date these tours still remain very popular; however the brochure has now grown substantially to 36 pages with over 190 departures to choose from. The product portfolio has evolved into three clearly defined categories: Luxury Coach Holidays, Ultimate Small Group Touring and Special Interest Tours, there is an option to suit any budget or interest.

The company’s objective has always been to service the travel industry with the most attractive range of “all inclusive” Coach Holidays to allow people the opportunity to enjoy a quality experience that represents excellent value for money. From day one Grand Pacific Tours has not taken direct consumer bookings and remains 100% loyal to the travel agent and continues to guarantee its departures.

One of the company’s biggest success stories to-date is the development of the Ultimate Small Group Touring programme that involves a purpose built luxury full size vehicle equipped with only 20 leather business class seats and unmatched by any coach touring company.

Peter Harding comments, “not only does Grand Pacific Tours pride itself on being a specialist but I consider our principal strength to be the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff. Originating with just four staff the company now has a team of over 35 well trained individuals including a dedicated Operations Team in New Zealand”. The Grand Pacific Tours team has developed exceptional relationships with a large range of New Zealand operators and is grateful for the exceptional way their passengers are looked after and the true friendships formed within the industry.

The company is excited to celebrate their achievements over the last fifteen years and is looking forward to continuing to showcase the history, culture and natural splendour of New Zealand into the future.
