Kauri Museum

The Kauri Museum is the largest undercover attraction in Northland, covering 4500m2. The museum is dedicated to preserving the past, present and future of the ancient Kauri trees. Enjoy a sensory experience, taking time to run your hands along different wood textures and enjoy the smells of the sticky sweet gum and the working mill. Feel transported back in time as you browse through the various exhibitions, before exit through the shop to pick yourself up a piece of Kauri gum as a unique souvenir.
