Our Rotorua City and Lakes Tour visits 3 of Rotorua’s stunning lakes; Rotorua, Okareka and Tikitapu. The tour lasts between 90-105 minutes. During this tour we visit three lakes and splashdown on two. The tour begins in the heart of Rotorua. See historic buildings, natural hot springs, geothermal wonders and more while our tour guide brings to life stories of old. From there, head out to the picturesque Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) set amongst lush natural bush for the first splashdown before you head to Lake Okareka for your second splashdown.
Nestled in the heart of a small vibrant community, view bird life in the Okareka bird sanctuary along with stunning million-dollar homes that surround the lake. Another highlight of the tour is learning about the amazing tour vehicle and its use during WWII. With some 21,000 Ducks made for the war effort, their history is remarkable, and it’s believed instrumental in how quickly the war was won.
